Energy Fact – Cost of LED lighting dropped 15-times as volumes increased

The reduction in the cost of LED lighting is measured by dividing the US cost of an LED light per kilolumen by the number of LED lights sold, measured as a percent of global lights sold. Extrapolating from this data, the price of LED lighting has dropped 15-times as the volume of LEDs sold increased from 2010 to 2019.
